It's not often you see an Olympic athlete and an actress going head-to-head, but nothing's ever ordinary here at Sugarscape HQ, and when we found out that American gold medal winner Shawn Johnson and 'shopaholic' actress Isla Fisher had both worn the same dress, they were thrown into a fashion face-off!
The petite ladies have gone against the rules of fashion and worn matching strapless maxi dresses by Elizabeth and James. But you're bound to prefer one look more than the other...

Isla went with loose waves and armfuls of bangles for a hippy cool look.

Shawn instead paired her dress with dangly earrings and a big smile!
But which of the ladies wore it best? Was Isla's hippy take more your thing, or do you prefer Shawn's modern look?
Comments please!

You've certainly been busy since Beijing. What's your schedule been like recently?
This is actually a slow time for me, which with me isn't really slow. I'm staying home a lot. I'm getting more time to spend in the gym and get back into shape. I'm finishing up school and trying to get into college. I'm working with McDonald's. I'm going to the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Ten kids get to travel with me there and experience the Games. I've done some correspondence work with “Dancing with the Stars.” I'm kind of enjoying life right now.
What is next for you in gymnastics?
It's still a huge question on whether I'm going to return right now. It's a hard decision. I fulfilled my lifelong dream and goal in Beijing. It's a huge commitment, but I miss the sport. I am getting back in shape. I'm playing around in the gym to see if it's still what I want to do.
How much time do you spend in the gym?
I haven't really started in the gymnastics gym yet. I go to a fitness center every day. I have a physical trainer I'm working with. I'm trying to get back in the position I want to be in.
How much time will you spend working on your sport if you return?
It's a full-time job. Four hours every day Monday through Friday. Six hours on Saturday. I get Sunday off.
What has been the most fun thing you've done since the Olympics?
“Dancing with the Stars” by far. I would do it again in a heartbeat if I could. Being thrown into something completely new was refreshing. I'd never done anything besides gymnastics. It was really rewarding for me.
Where is your trophy from winning “Dancing With the Stars”?
I keep it on a little shelf in the family room.
Are you back in high school?
I am finishing up school. I have three months left. I work with a private tutor. I'm getting ready for the SAT and applications for college.
You have a 4.0 GPA. Where would you like to go?
Harvard or Stanford.
Through your partnership with Hy-Vee, you are promoting healthy living and active lifestyles. What's your message for young girls?
Don't get caught up in the image. Don't get caught up in that “have to be skinny and tall and beautiful” and what they tend to push on TV. It's all about inner beauty and confidence and pursuing what you love; being great in school or in a sport you love.
Talk about growing up as a gymnast.
My parents put me in it when I was 3, and I fell in love with it. It's just about finding what you love to do. If you find that thing, you'll succeed in whatever you do.
Do you think 3 was too young?
When you start young, you find out what you love to do even earlier. My parents never pushed me to become anything. I was an energetic kid and they had to give me something to do. I tried dancing, soccer, swimming and track. Gymnastics is what I kept coming back to.
Any thoughts on the Iowa Hawkeyes?
I'm a huge Hawkeye fan. One of my really good friends goes there and they help get me tickets.
Who is your favorite player?
Probably (quarterback) Ricky Stanzi. (I like) his ability to keep going. He has kind of struggled at the beginning of games, but he's never failed to come back.

Hoping to inspire younger athletes, Olympic gymnast Alicia Sacramone, a Winchester native, visited All-Star Gymnastics in Chelmsford on Thursday, Nov. 12 on a promotional tour for the Tyson American Cup exhibition at the DCU Center in Worcester in March. In addition to supporting the invitational event, which will be held in Massachusetts for the first time, Sacramone signed autographs and answered questions from about 200 budding gymnasts.
Gym owners Karen and Tom Bonnacci, who arranged for Sacramone’s visit with USA Gymnastics said that they were thrilled the silver medal winner stopped by and showed their students that anything is possible.
The 200 young gymnastics students were mesmerized by Sacramone’s tales of her Olympic experiences from bickering with fellow gymnasts Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson over hairdryers or the age of the Chinese gymnasts. Here are some of the questions and answers from the All-Star students.
Q Were you happy with silver at the Olympics?
A Absolutely. We wanted gold, but we were so happy with silver. The Chinese team was so good and there was no way anyone was going to beat them.
Q How has your life changed since the Olympics?
A Well I get recognized in a lot of weird places like Target and the supermarket, but other than that it’s been pretty normal. Ooh I was in a Gatorade commercial and I’ve had a couple endorsements.
Q What was the best moment for you during the Olympics? Were the Olympics fun?
A I think the best moment for me I think was when the girls voted me team captain. It just meant so much to me. I don’t know if I’d say fun. We had a great time. We all cried before we went out there.
Q Are you friends with Nastia? Are you friends with Shawn?
A Absolutely. We are a family now. They are like my little sisters.
Q What advice would you give to young gymnastics students?
A I’d say that you do gymnastics because you love it. It’s easy to forget that when you’re having a hard day. But that’s the most important thing is that you do it because you love it and have fun.
Q What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
A Coffee Oreo.
Q Did you try other sports before you became a gymnast?
A I tried every sport before and I wasn’t really good at any of them. I took dance for five years and then I did gymnastics and I’ve stuck with it ever since.
Q What do you think about the whole controversy over the ages of the Chinese gymnasts?
A We didn’t really talk to them. But we saw them and they looked really young. Shawn said it looked like I could’ve been their mom. But if they lied or did something illegally it’ll come out.

MILTON — The moves a Lycoming County couple makes on the dance floor would put Helio Castroneves, Kristi Yamaguchi and Shawn Johnson to shame.
DONT THINK SO
Frank and Sandy Hartzel, of Williamsport, have never appeared on the popular television program “Dancing with the Stars,” like the above mentioned celebrities. However, the couple has been dancing together for more than three decades.
For the past three years, the couple has also been offering choreographed ballroom dancing lessons in Milton and Williamsport.
